Lambs vs Jamaica
Lambs Triumph Over Jamaica U18
In windy, wet, and cold conditions at Brunel University sports field, the Lambs took on a Jamaica U18 team. Despite challenging weather, the Lambs delivered an impressive performance.
The first half was tightly contested, with the Lambs playing against the wind but managing to lead 14-5 at half-time. Head coach off the day Alex Griffith-Jones, in his half-time talk, reminded the boys, “You’re doing great, but if we want to play our fast and free brand, we have to earn it.” This motivated the team to come out strong in the second half, scoring five tries and showcasing their style of play.
Tries in the first half came from Dunn and Warren, while the second half saw Turnbull, Hattam, Dunne, Boreham, and Sochima (twice) crossing the line. A special mention to our kicker Will Lawes & Jensen Kelsey, who achieved a 100% strike rate —a remarkable feat given the tough weather conditions.
The team’s next match is on Sunday, and we wish the boys the best of luck as they continue their season.
