A one point win for England but alas a one point loss for The Lambs in the last 2 minutes against Ealing Trailfinders 37 point to 36!
Match Report: The Lambs vs. Ealing U18s
The Lambs played their second game in three days against Ealing U18s, and for once, the conditions were perfect for a fast-paced match. With the sun shining and the game taking place on Ealing’s 4G field, the Lambs started with blistering speed, racing to a 12-0 lead.
However, Ealing quickly responded with well-drilled movements, closing the gap and turning the contest into a tightly fought battle. By halftime, the Lambs trailed 20-17, but the game was still very much up for grabs.
The second half opened up dramatically, and despite the Lambs eventually losing by a nail-biting one point, 37-36, their performance was nothing short of heroic. Against all odds, the boys dug deep and gave it their all, earning praise and admiration from everyone watching.
Considering this is a group of 23 boys who have only played a handful of games together, their unity and fighting spirit were extraordinary. Coaches, management, and staff couldn’t be prouder of their performance and the way they bonded as a team.
Although they came up just short today, the Lambs can hold their heads high. With a month and a half break ahead, the team will return refreshed and ready to take on the Irish Exiles, stronger than ever. Their achievements so far this season, especially today, are something to be immensely proud of.
