Lambs Director of Rubgy called up as Head Rugby Coach for Sweden

Alex Laybourne has been named the new Men’s Head Coach for Sweden’s 15s team.

Alex is our Director of Rugby, alongside his job as a teacher where he is Head of Rugby and Deputy Head of Sixth Form at a school in Cambridgeshire.

Alex has previously coached Scotland Women U20s and he has also worked with Loughborough Students’ Rugby.

On his latest appointment, Alex said:

“It is a privilege to be appointed as the Men's Head Coach for Sweden. Opportunities like this don't come along very often and I am looking forward to working with the players and management to create a successful environment where we can thrive as a group. I believe the future is bright for Swedish Rugby and I am excited about being part of the journey.”
